Gervais Durand (1839-1920) Rare Signed Bronze Mounted Side Table
About the Item
A marquetry French side table with quartered veneer top, cross banding with dot accents and bronze trim. The table having a secret drawer released by latch beneath the table. The table rests on slender cabriole legs with bronze mounts. Decorated with Greek key from bronze mounts around the table. The table come with a leatherette covered pull out tray. Incised stamp mark G. Durand under the table.
Dimensions: 27" H x 18 1/2" W x 14" D
Condition: Various signs of age including multiple veneer losses especially along the legs, tape holding veneer chip, alligatoring to finish, minor old repair, age appropriate wear to surface. The leather is worn with black mark. One small bracket is missing from behind the pull out. See photos that are part of the details and condition.
