About the Item
Japanese antique checkout counter with inner shelf, manufactured circa 1780s - 1910s (Meiji period), estimate from the style & conditions.
Tabletop is finished with traditional black Urushi lacquer, made of single solid wood panel.
And, inner shelf board & side panels are made of solid wood cedar panels.
Can be used as side table, display table etc., with showing both panel side or shelf side.
There're matching low display stands, 2 pieces (wide & narrow) coming from the same place, will be uploaded soon in my listings.
