About the Item
This midcentury era heavy solid brass pedestal side table with a marble top has no maker's marks or labels, but presumed to have been made in the United States in circa 1970 in an Empire Revival style. The base is solid brass with a circular raised top, dual brass posts on three sides which result in two corresponding solid brass feet. The base is very well constructed and sturdy and the brass feet are very securely fasted to the base. The entire pedestal base has been professionally refinished and polished to a high gloss finish. The custom made insert top fits securely in the top and was also professionally handcrafted from both white and black marble which has been laminated together.
