A visually striking Modernist Arturo Pani style compass mounted accent table.
Dating to the late 20th/early 21st century, featuring a spectacular round polished agate geode abalone inlay gold flake specimen style top layered in smooth resin creating a magnificent display, with rich coloring, beautiful depth, intricate detailing, distinctive character and brilliant light reflecting accents; mounted over a tripartite form polished gilt brass base, joined by a jagged shaped brass cross-stretcher with decorative openwork and unusual central drum mounted with a functional compass, all elegantly rising on three slender cabriole legs transitioning to hoofs terminating on ball feet.
Drawing inspiration from the finest 18th and 19th Century French guéridons, infused with luxurious Hollywood Regency and timeless Art Deco glam, this exceptionally executed, rare, likely one of a kind, is sure to add sophistication, whimsical elegance, and glamorous style to any space!
