Original Red Painted Swedish Side Table with Monogram, circa 1820-40
About the Item
The paint is all original on this pine side table with tapered legs from Sweden. The decorative carved/lattice skirt (along all 4 sides) compliments the brick red base.
The top reveals the faux wood folk art style of the period, accented here with a delicate painted border. A monogram of four letters is also visible along one side.
Generations of use are seen in every stain, scratch, crack and separation of the planks that compose the top. See photos for details.
Restored, this table is strong, stable and ready for use. It's small size allows it to be used as a side table, nightstand, or small writing desk.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
