Pair of side tables, beech, Europe, 1970s. Geometric shaped side tables composed of solely cubic forms. Geometry is at the forefront of these pieces, expressed through clear lines and symmetrical features. The wooden tops are based on a square shape, that has openings at every side, giving this chunky and solid design transparency and air in between the thick wood. The warm tone of the wood gives the tables a natural and calm appeal. This design is reminiscent of Lou Hodges' designs.
