A Rare figured mahogany one drawer Chippendale bedside table, stand, or commode late 18th century This spectacular night table commode is a fully developed Chippendale design having a well shaped tray top with "heart" pierced gallery, and scalloped apron with finished back above elegant cabriole legs ending in well carved claw feet As expected with furniture of outstanding quality, the upper case is fully dovetailed The elaborate brass hardware seems to be original The claw feet, at one time, had castors The drawer has very fine dovetails and Oak or Ash wood secondaries The rear of the drawer has some old repairs to reinforce it The finish has a wonderful older restoration and retains a fine patina Measurements: 25 1/2" wide x 16 1/2" deep x 34" high".
