Rubber and Concrete CYL Side Table with Brass Inlay by Slash Objects
About the Item
The rubber CYL side tables are a series of accent pieces which bring together recycled rubber on the exterior, cast together with concrete and a brass inlay.
The exterior of the table is recycled rubber, fused together with a concrete table surface, and a quarter-inch brass inlay at the center. The rubber comes in four speckled colorways, and a solid black color. The speckled rubber has the appearance of terrazzo due to the granules of post-consumer recycled rubber. We have developed a unique process in house to offset the weight of the concrete in order to make these pieces functional to move and ship.
The versatile occasional table is the ideal accent to any room. Each surface is unique in appearance, and is treated with a water-resistant sealant to protect from moisture and staining.
This piece is designed and manufactured locally in New York City.
Available in five rubber colorways, two concrete finishes and various dimensions.

Slash Objects is an award-winning design studio based in New York City. Our work is rooted in a fascination with materials and how they are brought together. Our process begins in the material, with an interest in exposing the very tactile nature of making, while creating pure forms bound together by geometry and precision. The materials we use are recycled and long-lasting, breathing new life cycles into materials otherwise relegated to waste. Slash Objects was founded in 2016 by architect and designer Arielle Assouline-Lichten. Our studio is in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and we work with local fabricators to bring the pieces to life. We believe that thoughtful design leads to a better world.
