Saikoro Low Side Table with Mineral Plaster Table Top and Historical Oak
About the Item
A low one-of-a-kind side table from our Saikoro collection. You can use it to put in front of a big window, against your sofa, in front of your sofa, as a piece against a wall. You can do all kind of things with it. It has a very cool appearance because it sits so low and it has these special formed massive historical oak stands in a natural finish. This kind of wood is very hard to find in this sizing. The rare size of 45 cm x 45 cm was used for beams in very big old barns. To shape them we had to make special blades for precision cutting of the form . We did this in co-operation with an artist woodworker.
If you want we can give it a burned or a smoked finish or leave it as is ; pure, honest and natural. The stands are paired with black powdercoated feet to support the mineral plastered tabletop. The plaster and the ingredients origin from the famous Island Ibiza. it's a strong durable plaster with very small silicates in it, mixed with polymers to give it it's durability and finished with a 2K varnish which is invisible and preserves it's natural appearance but still is durable and washable and stain proof.
In Ibiza they use this plaster everywhere; on floors, bathrooms, walls, terrace, furniture...

Liz Tables is based in Belgium and they specialize in handmade artisan tables and use a variety of products to produce the tables. Two main products are used and that's mineral plasters and terrazzo. They are combined with materials like brass, wood, glass, precious gemstones, recycled products and epoxy's.
