Side or End Table Black Marquinia Marble Mirror Brass Gold Collectible Design
About the Item
The 'Cloud' is a spectacular side table with structure in mirror polished brass and top in Marquinia marble.
The mirror-like finishing of the brass creates different perceptions of this particular material and allows interesting reflections of light.
Side table dimension: L 73 x W 54 x H 50 cm. Dimensions are customizable.
Limited Edition of 45.
Each table is hand signed and numbered by the artists (engraved), 100% handmade in Italy and comes with a “Certificate of Authenticity”.
"We wanted to kidnap a cloud, slice it into thin sheets like it's done with blocks of marble.
After, we take the central slab with the most beautiful pattern.
To keep the cloud from escaping, we tied it on to weights, disguising them as light, golden legs.
Now, that the cloud is fixed to the ground forever we dressed her in the colour of orange onyx which rested for millennia in the depth of heavy mountains.
The cloud has become a table and nobody will ever unmask it".
The artworks by Barberini & Gunnell are regularly shown at international art fairs, such as PAD London, PAD Genève, PAD Monaco, Salon Art + Design New York, ArtMiami.

We take care of the entire customs procedure and paperwork. On request we organize a white glove delivery and installation of the artwork inside of the property of the client. All shipments are ALL-RISK insured.
We carefully pack all artworks in strong wooden crates to ensure safe transport. This service is done directly in our atelier and is complimentary.
All of our artworks travel with a shock watch system in order to monitorate rough handling by shippers and movers.

Using stainless steel, brass, cast bronze, precious wood essences, marbles,onyxes, semi-precious gemstones, crystal glass, together with the most sophisticated technologies and quality craftsmanship, allows the atelier to work for clients like the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, Bonhams, Cartier, Dior, Four Seasons Hotels, Louis Vuitton, Paramount Pictures, Peter Marino Architects, Regency Seven Seas Cruises and Sotheby’s. Atelier Barberini & Gunnell was founded in 2009 by the architects Francesco Barberini and Nina A. Gunnell, as the result of a passion followed for a long period of time, creating one-off pieces and collectible design in limited editions; artworks far from the industrial reality. The cultural mix between the two artists with Italian, English and Austrian backgrounds results in unique architectural and interior design projects. From several private clients and collectors emerges the request for the conception and realization of ‘living art’, customized furniture for their special homes. Artworks by Barberini & Gunnell are exhibited at: Art BaselDesign//Miami, Art Miami, PAD London, PAD Genève, PAD Paris, Salon Art+Design New York … In 2019 Atelier Barberini & Gunnell founded the brand ‘Pieruga Marble’.
