This is a large low table made of old Japanese wood.
The tabletop is very large, and the surface is wavy as if it has been scraped over time, and there are traces of it being tightly tied with something like a string. It is unknown what it was used for, but it is assumed to have been a work board, and it has a unique presence.
The exact species of the tabletop is unknown, but it is thought to be a type of hardwood, possibly cherry. It has changed to a deep amber color over time, and has a primitive appearance that expresses the beauty of natural changes.
The base is made of a rectangular block of wood that appears to be zelkova wood. Its purpose is also unknown, but it is a very hard and heavy block made for some purpose.
It has a primitive appearance due to aging.
It can be used as a sofa table or exhibition stand.
Because of its simple shape, it adds beauty to the space through natural changes and creates a calm and beautiful silhouette.
