About the Item

20th century, Italian Wood and Wrought Iron Table Measurements: cm W 215 x D 80 x H 82. Top thickness cm 4. with extensions L 298 cm This particular table was made in Italy around the middle of the 20th century. It consists of a rectangular wooden top with axes placed longitudinally and two transverse in the heads and a wrought iron structure with a sinuous and original line. The legs of arched shape, cross at the center and are connected between crossbars that, in addition to giving stability, help to create an elegant and graceful design. The table has two small extensions. The table can be suitable for both indoor and outdoor use in gardens, patios and terraces. Wrought iron is considered the best material for outdoor use due to its durability, lightness of image and ductility compared to other metals. The term "beaten" means worked by hand, unlike cast iron, produced with moulds. The handmade wrought iron furniture is characterized by a characteristic almost ethereal and extremely elegant.
