The table is crafted from elm wood, showcasing Chapo's signature craftsmanship and organic approach to furniture design. This table is transformable from 120 cm to 220 cm in width, using two extension leafs. This piece is a fine example of French design, combining functionality with sculptural beauty. Situated in a small French region Alsace, Ebénisterie Seltz gained prominence as a workshop recognized for crafting, among others, Pierre Chapo's designs in the 1970s and 1980s. Consequently, their own furniture creations bear the hallmark of impeccable craftsmanship and the use of premium quality materials. Their body of work is distinguished by the primary utilization of solid wood, mainly oak and elm, expertly constructed through intricate wood joinery techniques. The present executive desk is a striking example of this approach, showing affinities with the aesthetic sensibility of Pierre Chapo's designs.
