Antique French Cast Iron Butcher's or Conservatory Table with a Red Marble Top
About the Item
This antique French cast iron butcher's or conservatory marble-topped table was made in the late 19th century in the Victorian style. The base is very ornately cast with scrolled decoration and two figural cow heads on each of the trestle side panels. which are secured together with two heavy steel rods. The base also retains its original red painted finish. The accenting red marble top has been cut and polished with rounded edges and corners and has a channel cut around its perimeter with a small reservoir in the middle of either side. This unique and highly decorative table is very sturdy and functional and can be used in a variety of ways to compliment any space.
