Add a touch of the French lifestyle to your home with this elegant antique "Table de Vigneron" (wine tasting table). Crafted in the Bordeaux region of France circa 1860 and oval in shape, the table features a tilt-top surface over a wedge trestle base and rotating V-shape stretcher; the top is dressed with a tan leather surface embellished with gilt tooling and decorative brass nail heads on the edges. The wine tasting table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. This Classic find would make a sophisticated, historically relevant addition to a wine cellar, or could be used in a corner of a room. For out of the way storage, tilt the top in a vertical configuration.

The table is made entirely of wood with hard, outlined geometric shapes.
The table top has a wonderful round shape, with the wood grain evident and very clear, very elegant.
Its uniqueness can be seen at the height of the legs: each leg is composed of two structures that connect with each other creating a wonderful play of geometric shapes that are very eclectic. These legs create the geometric figure of a well-defined pentagon; each leg in fact has a small wooden structure that connects them to each other, going to define the perimeter of the form. The pentagon is also present below the top, although not visible because it is covered.
