About the Item

Brass label on one drawer- Paul Sormani, Paris. A fine Louis XV style podreuse, the shaped top with tall side drawers, an adjustable cartouche form mirror, and flour scrolling brass candle arms with gilt edged opaline bobeches. The brass bound top pulls out over the apron with two drawers. Raised on tall cariole legs, with baroque style leafy and shaped mounts overall. H. 52", W. 33", depth 19 1/2". Condition: Please see detail photos. Some level of restoration is recommended Various signs of age include the top with scratches and a gash to the right-side facing, stable age crack on the back left, the top left drawer frame with chip, the top of the right one with lifting veneer, one bobeche cracked but stable and a stable crack through on the right-side mirror support, all mentioned for accuracy as the presentation remains extraordinary.
