English Chinoiserie Decorated Queen Anne Vanity Dressing Table
About the Item
Charming diminutive English Queen Anne style vanity dressing table featuring an Asian lacquer decorated case made in the 19th century Chinoiserie revival period of Western Europe. The small vanity is centered by a flip-top that opens to reveal an antique beveled mirror. the mirror is flanked on both sides by flip-top storage bins. The front of the case has a small pull out writing table in the middle with a leather writing surface and decorative gilt trim. The desk is centered by a storage drawer and one smaller storage drawer on the right side. The case has a serpentine front and decorative carved serpentine apron. Embellished with idyllic Asian scenes in parcel gilt with a dramatic red ground. The vanity has solid construction and joinery with an aged patina on the lacquer finish that commensurate its age and use. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with solid joinery and construction. Age appropriate wear with an aged, distressed patina on the painted lacquer finish as seen in photos, mirror has losses on back. Minor chips, scratches, scuffs, fading, and losses as expected.
