William Phelps Montgomery was born in August 1948. The son of art historians, he grew up on the Henry Francis Dupont Winterthur Estate located in Wilmington, DE where his father was the director of the facility. From an early age, he was surrounded and learned to appreciate all different types of art. He drew great inspiration from the work of Mondrian and developed a career as an abstract and digital artist over the last three decades. His work has been exhibited nationwide and can be found in private and museum collections.
