This piece is signed by the artist Ariel Bruce Neilson in the bottom left corner. Born in California on Dec. 16, 1893. While living in Alameda in 1910-11, Neilson studied at the San Francisco Institute of Art. He died in San Francisco on Feb. 16, 1953.
