About the Item

A French set of three processional plaques from the 19th century. These antique processional candle-holder plaques from France each have a shield shape design and feature their original hand-painted finish in a motif of fleur de lis, sword, crown and shells. The color palette is primarily navy, gold, and red. There is a wonderful aged patina that reflects their age and prior use. This set of three 19th century French processional plaques, together will make a great collection of hanging wall art for your home.
