About the Item
This magnificent example of Venetian lacquer art dates back to the 18th century and represents the craftsmanship typical of the period. The tray, shaped and embellished with a complex polychrome decoration, is distinguished by the vividness of the colors and the quality of the painting. In the center is a pastoral scene, depicting figures immersed in a natural landscape with trees and architectural columns, a symbol of harmony between man and nature.
All around, the border features a series of medallions depicting animals and country scenes, surrounded by ornamental motifs in red and black that recall the typical Venetian lacquer style.
