Early 19th Century Italian Majolica Holy Water Font
About the Item
Small and lovely Italian Holy Water font from Italy, a shaped polychrome ceramic artwork dating back to Neoclassical period, early 19th century.
This rare religious work is finely hand painted with ocher green and beige motifs on the font, a central cross in the middle, topped by a handle decorated with pierced patterns.
This lovely religious work is of Northern Italian origin and dates back to circa 1810.
It is in good age related condition, with minor dents and wear consistent with age and use, ready to be hanged. See closed-up pictures.
