Great Crested Grebe by Prideaux John Selby
About the Item
19th Century. Great Crested Grebe by Prideaux John Selby, Selby was an English ornithologist, botanist and natural history artist. He studied at university of Oxford. Selby spent countless hours studying words in there natural habitat, making carful notes of their every movement and later using this information to create his beautiful life size colored work.
This has been with one family for over 40 years.
Plate LXXII, signed in plate. Measurement are with Frame.
