Product description: This item has been designed by Sylvia Leuchovius and produced by the Swedish firm Rörstrand. Sylvia is not as famous as Lisa Larson but definitely has a unique style. Sylvia’s style seems influenced by Finnish designers like Birger Kaipianen and Rut Bryk, the use of relief in her designs feels similar to that in Kaipianen’s larger plates. Like Lisa Larson, Sylvia uses a lot of plants and animals in her work but the representation of the objects is more neutral, not as funny but more essential. The particular item on offer here can be mounted on a wall using the hook on the back. The limited size of the object makes it come into its own in smaller rooms. The decoration on this plate reprents a close-up view of a flower. The center of the flower has a dark-green color combined with the white anthers. Away from the middle the color of the item is hard to define but anthracite comes closest in my view. This item has relief on its surface made-up by the white leaves and anthers. The plate has sloping edges making the diameter of the back (17cm) smaller than the front (19cm). Product condition: This product is in very good condition. On the back there is production imperfection present, it is not visible when the item is mounted. Weight: 500 grams Dimensions: diameter (top): 19cm diameter (bottom) 17cm height: 3cm.
