About the Item
Product description:
These three items have been designed by Sylvia Leuchovius and produced by the Swedish firm Rörstrand. Sylvia is not as famous as Lisa Larson but definitely has a unique style. Sylvia’s style seems influenced by Finnish designers like Birger Kaipianen and Rut Bryk, the use of relief in her wall tiles and bowls feel similar to that in Kaipianen’s larger plates. Like Lisa Larson, Sylvia uses a lot of plants and animals in her work but the representation of the objects is more neutral, not as funny but more essential. The painitng on the items on offer show the difference in style between her and Lisa Larson's, Sylvia uses a more linear and sharp drawing style in contrast to the more round softer drawings of Larson.
Our suggestion would be to display the items together in a glass showcase. The items can also be used for displaying flowers, but it is important to choose sober guests for these items such as to not draw away attention from the painting.
Product condition:
All three items are in very good condition. On the inside of the spoon there is a patch with missing glazing, this probably is a production mistake.
