About the Item

Beautiful crayons on paper 1960s by important Italian artist Luca Alinari (Firenze 1943-2019). Work signed and entitled "figures". Work from a historic art gallery in Milan with stamps on the back. Work sold with certificate of authenticity on photo released by the artist. Attention to the export of this article is necessary to wait for the documents of the Italian Minister of Fine Arts. Waiting times for the document are around 30/40 days. Biographical note He was born in Florence in 1943. At a very young age he discovered a passion for painting and like all children he designed and painted. At twenty he enrolled at the Faculty of Letters where he approached the world of art criticism. In 1968 he organized his first personal exhibition at the Inquadrature Gallery in Florence. His first stylistic references are in the current "Neodada", to which he uses the most diverse techniques: drawing using fluorescent colors, decal, collage and photographic transpositions. In the second half of the 1970s his name began to spread among critics and audiences, so much so that he was called to exhibit personal exhibitions in various Italian Art Galleries and finally, in 1982, he was invited to the Venice Biennale. The fundamental element of his painting is the absolute absence of perspective planes, his compositions recall the innocence of childhood as if they were imaginative journeys in childhood memories. His paintings, real fairy-tale worlds, are characterized by the lively, almost vivid, color scheme. Luca Alinari has also dedicated himself with great success to the Graphics of art realizing, above all in serigraphy and lithography, a series of original works for use of materials and for formats. Since 1989 his name has risen further in the esteem of critics and public, to the point of realizing important exhibitions in very prestigious venues: in the Palazzo Lanfranchi of Matera, in Ljubljana, in the Galleria Fogola in Turin, in the Royal Palace of Milan, at the Casa del Masaccio in the Valdarno, at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Villa Croce in Genoa, at the Tour Fromage of Aosta, in the Galleria Il Bisonte in Florence. An exhaustive illustration of his journey was given in 1993 by the anthological exhibition curated by E. Crispolti at the Arengo in Milan. He died in Florence in 2019.
