20th Century Two-Sided Oil on Canvas by Spanish Artist Ricardo Iñurria Arzubide

About the Item

20th century two-sided oil on canvas by Spanish artist Ricardo Iñurria Arzubide (1908 - 1995). On one side, he painted “Bodegón de Caracola” and on the other side “Bodegón al Aire Libre”. Iñurria was widely acclaimed in the 1940s and 1950s for his religious sculptures and paintings, which are very vivid and colorful. It has been framed with two individual frames that were comprised of two moldings, one in black lacquered and the other in a gray wood wash. The two frames were attached to each other back-to-back. It sits on a custom Lucite shelf holder to allow the viewer to flip it from one side to the other to reveal the paintings on each side of the canvas.
