About the Item
A lovely bucolic landscape depicting the Cotswold canal, which can be seen cutting through the landscape with a white horse grazing from the green grass flanking the canal. Adrian Paul Allinson has marvelously painted the canal with glistening highlights and reflection in the water. Beside the horse is an old stone wall with red barn just inside the wall. House structures can be seen in the distance.
Signed lower right.
Presented in a well carved and gilt finished frame.
Condition: There are some splits to the frame at the joined corners. Some gentle wear to the painting commensurate with age and display but overall a fine presentation. See lot images for further visual inspection as they are considered part of the lot condition report.
