Antique Maritime Watercolor on Paper of a Yacht
About the Item
In 1845 British Officer Sir John Franklin and crew disappeared on an arctic exploration. Captain Francis Leopald McClintock was commissioned to explore that disappearance on the yacht "Fox" in 1857. Here is a watercolor rendering of that ship painted by an artist who signed his initials A.E.S.
Presented under glass in a painted and gilt wood frame.
