Intense acrylic on masonite painting Titled Bird Fury by Leonardo Nierman signed and dated in the lower right Nierman 66.

Leonardo Nierman Mexican Artist: b. 1932. Leonardo Nierman's paintings vibrantly come to life as they capture the intensity and spontaneity of the dynamic forces that rule both nature and the cosmos. With swirling whirlpools of color, darting flame-like wisps, and brilliant hues as dazzling as a sun, they are dramatic in their representation of that which is unchallenged, though perhaps not quite understood. Leonardo Nierman's full career includes numerous distinctions, awards, and exhibitions. He has painted murals for the School of Commerce of the University City in Mexico, 1956; the "Golden West Savings" in San Francisco, 1965; and the Princeton University Physics Building,1969. Leonardo Nierman's more recent One-Man shows include those at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City in 1972; and in 1973, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bogota, Columbia, the Los Angeles Municipal Gallery, the the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Madrid, and the Tucson Art Center.

Leonardo Nierman
Leonardo Nierman is a Mexican abstract artist. His varied paintings and sculptures are inspired by both nature and classical musicians like Johann Sebastian Bach and Claude Debussy, as well as an array of artists that includes David Alfaro Siqueiros, Wassily Kandinsky, and Joan Miró. Nierman’s paintings utilize bright colors and evoke elemental natural events like volcanic eruptions, storms, and waterfalls. In the same vein, his sculptures often depict abstracted sublime representations of angelic figures and flames. Born on November 1, 1932 in Mexico City, Mexico to Lithuanian and Ukrainian parents, Nierman studied the violin from a very young age before receiving a BA in business administration from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Today, the artist’s works are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Detroit Institute of the Arts, and the Indianapolis Museum of Art, among others. Nierman lives and works in Mexico City, Mexico.

Beautiful abstract fish art glass sculpture is by Canadian glass artist, Jean-Marie Giguère. He uses the Graal technique to create layers in the glass. The is piece is translucent with 2 engraved green fish with orange interior that reflects on the translucent section to make a muted orange color on the translucent area. Inside the orange section is a blue section (that I believe represents water) which also reflects on the bottom of the piece. Signed and dated 1999.
From Espace Verre, Giguère’s has been working with the Graal technique.
"This process combines glassblowing and engraving within layers of glass, revealing a smooth
decorative pattern. He is inspired by everything, while appropriating each
element. "I have searched for the common denominators to all
humans, to use them as themes in my compositions: the body,
