Clifford Edgar Jones 1915-1975 American
Chickens, 1948. Oil on canvas 30 x 24 inches unframed and 34" x 27.5" inches including the frame. Signed at lower right Clifford Jones ‘48’. Presented in what is most likely the original frame.
Clifford was born in Greentown, Indiana and worked most of his life there and then later in Connecticut as an art teacher. He was a known mural painter and illustrator and his early modernist, cubist, and regionalist paintings are rare on the market.
