José María de Aurora (1988) is a multidisciplinary artist born in northern Spain (Santander) who lives and works in Barcelona. Seduced by pure lines and minimalist aesthetics, his work is based on serene architectural pieces that embrace visual poetry.
An art lover from an early age, José María de Aurora explored different artistic fields such as painting, sculpture and engraving, exhibiting his first work at the Tàpies Foundation after winning a regional contest. Later he completed his training at the School of Fashion Arts and Techniques at the Ramón Llull University. Currently, José María de Aurora is known as the founder and creative director of the Spanish haute couture brand Ze García. Within the maelstrom and splendor typical of haute couture, the artist finds creative calm working on his pictorial works in his studio in Aiguablava on the Costa Brava.
