About the Item
Excellent condition throughout, there is not a flaw to note. The portrait is painted on thin natural wafer and retains the original seal with the cover glass, portrait, vellum backing entirely intact. Not a bit of damage to report. Frame is excellent, as well, and is in the French manner of the era, dore bronze, backed in a brass slide panel. A hanging loop is provided for hanging. No easel stand and none was original to this frame.
