Impressive French hand painted three fold oil on canvas floor screen of "The Judgement of Paris",
19th century.
The three panels are centered by a cartouche depicting a finely painted panel of maidens in classical robes in the forest by the river (The Judgement of Paris).
The Judgement of Paris is a story from Greek mythology, which was one of the events that led up to the Trojan War and (in slightly later versions of the story) to the foundation of Rome.
It is very "eye-catching" and highly decorative.
Can be used as a floor panel screen or can be used as a wall panel.
