Faithful to the traditions, the scene depicts the New Testament scene of the two Holy figures of John the Baptist and Jesus meeting with all the symbolism of both holy lives.
A Flemish School altarpiece work of art, 'La Sainte Famille et le petit Saint Jean-Baptiste', a masterfully achieved oil painting in five oak panels, reinforced by a grand frame and very well maintained through the centuries.
The painting has been professionally certified by an Art Expert and possesses proper documentation to certify it.
The detail, expression of the nordish Antwerp movement of Brabant painters, makes it an extremely rare example of panel art.
Circa 1620 - with expert certificate (can be requested).
