About the Item

This is part of a wooden storage cabinet door used in old Japanese houses. In Japan, there is a built-in storage shelf for storing futons, etc. This is the sliding door of the storage shelf at the top of the shelf where the futons are stored. It may have been used in wealthy homes with money. In the houses of the wealthy class, pictures are drawn on various things such as fusuma, folding screens, and cupboards, and the interior is often very luxurious. Seasonal flowers such as wisteria, cherry blossoms, dandelions, and irises represent a very beautiful scenery. The colors and composition are also beautiful, and one world is beautifully expressed in a small limited space. Unfortunately, this is an old wooden product, so there are warping and distortion. In addition, the picture below has a crack in the center and a gap has occurred. The inscription of the person who painted the garden above is written. I don't know the detailed history of the author. The back of the door also has something like the author's name written on it. The production year is 1954. Items like this are hard to come by. It is a very rare item.
