About the Item
Jean-Pierre Brissart, who currently lives in La Roche de Glun in the Drôme, began his self-taught artistic career with photography. Fascinated by the traces of time and the rare light of nature, he has exhibited in various French towns: Tain, Tournon, Montélimar, Limoges, Gluiras (Ardèche), Charmes sur Rhône, Grenoble, Arles (Photoservice Foundation Prize), Paris.
In 2012, while continuing to practice photography, he took up painting, inspired in particular by his abstract photo series. Working mainly in oils, his current favorite themes are industrial wastelands and abandoned houses, abstraction, portraits...
