"Mandala", Monumental Tryptich by Ricardo Ramirez Rivero

About the Item

Large-scale tryptich by contemporary artist Ricardo Ramirez Rivero, 2019. papier mâché is mixed with gesso and applied to the canvas and manipulated to create the design. The canvas is then painted with many layers of paint resulting in works that are at once both textural and sculptural. Rivero's work evokes the ancient and the tribal while being thoroughly modern in its approach. The tryptich is meant to be hung together, however, the canvases may be purchased individually. (Price is per individual canvas.)
