Metal Collage 'Birdsong 60' by Tony Berlant, 1992
About the Item
California artist Tony Berlant discovered his medium, discarded metal advertising signs, while living in Venice Beach, California in the 1960s. His application of preprinted signage onto the cube form became his signature technique. Using steel brads to attach the reconfigured metal to the wood base this work has a wonderfully tactile quality. 'Birdsong' #60, 1992 with gallery labels from Louver Gallery.
