A large Italian Mid-Century Modern oil painting by Mario Russo. "IL Soffiatore Divetro" (The Glass Blower.) Oil on canvas. Dated 1967. Museum exhibition label from Galleria del Premio Suzzara, Italy. Signed lower left and inscribed on reverse.
Mario Russo (1925-2000) known for his figurative modern subjects. During his lifetime, his work was exhibited widely throughout Europe and the United States. In 1992 a retrospective of his work was exhibited at the Brasche Palace in Rome.
