This oil on canvas is signed Louis Neillot (1898-1973), French painter, linked to the movement of Fauvism. His work mainly includes still lifes, landscapes and nudes, as well as the flowers and trees of his Verger garden. It is distinguished by the power of the colours, but also by a strong structuring where the influence of Cézanne, whom he particularly admired, is noted.
The work has been restored and cleaned, note old restorations on the back (visible in the photos), patches were installed some time ago. However, the work is in good general condition, it has a beautifully crafted rear frame.
