About the Item
Stunning original seascape painting by listed southern California artist Jacqueline Kresman circa 2000s. While she does not consider her work to be photorealistic, it clearly has that feel. The sand on the beach looks like you can reach out an touch it and the spray from the waves looks like it is coming right at you! This is a large framed oil painting on hardboard that is in great condition and measures 54.5W" x 31.25"H x 2.5"D (image is 48" x 24"). The frame is made of oak with a thin tan linen border: gorgeous piece! #2852
About the artist:
Jacquelynn Kresman grew up in San Diego, California. She studied at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Kresman has had exhibits at galleries in La Jolla, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, and Carmel by the Sea. Additionally, her work has been seen in many one-woman and group exhibitions throughout the United States, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Reviews dedicated to Ms. Kresman have appeared in many art magazines, periodicals and other publications.

Alfred Dupont was a muralist, illustrator and painter who made his home in southern California.
Dupont was born in East Orange, New Jersey. While still a teenager he ran away from home ending up in San Francisco, California. He studied art at the California School of Fine Arts, the University of California and the California College of Arts and Crafts.
Alfred Dupont painted murals on the ceiling of Hearst Castle (active at Hearst Castle in 1933 where he designed the story of the Old Testament on the ceiling of the celestial suite and made the drawings for ornamental ironwork and the blue and gold mosaic tiles around the swimming pool) and for the Golden Gate Exposition of 1939 he painted murals in the mining building.
While in the Navy during World War II he worked as an illustrator and painted portraits of Admirals Nimitz...
