Robert R. Anderson (American,1946-2010). 'The Building of a Queen.' Acrylic painting on canvas, 1980.  Signed upper left. Title, signed and dated on stretcher to verso. Paper labels to verso. Robert R. Anderson was an American-born artist, born in Orange, New Jersey. He was a graduate of the state university of new york at brockport, n.y. and later earned a mfa degree from pratt university. Anderson was represented by the OK Harris Gallery in new york. His work can be found in collections across the United States. He also produced numerous instructional videos on photorealism and color theory throughout his career and was the co-author of 'Art of the Dot'. During his lifetime, he was the recipient of three new jersey state council on the arts fellowship grants as well as a national endowment for the arts fellowship. Canvas - 36" high x 48" wide. Frame - 38 7/16" high x 50 1/8" wide.

    Tito Salomoni was an Italian surrealist painter and this is one of his best works. He began composing surrealist works in 1968 and committed to the movement for twenty years.
