Signed French Early 20th Century Floral Painting
About the Item
A lovely, jewel-toned floral still life oil-on-canvas painting of dahlias, from early 20th century France, signed by the artist J. Baccanti. In an unusual composition, the artist has captured one large bouquet occupying the central frame–and one very small vase to the lower left–all rendered in cheerful tones of coral, orange, and lavender against an emerald green background. The craquelure effect in the pigment confirms the age and offers additional texture over the layers of blooms. Strung with cord on the back to hang as is, unframed. Please view the detailed images.
