PONGA GIUSEPPE Chioggia (Venezia) 1856 - Venezia 1925. Si diplomò all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia e nel vasto lavoro, nei campi della pittura murale e da cavalletto, della miniatura e dell'acquerello, ricalcò la maniera e i temi dei modelli settecenteschi di GB Tiepolo e F.Guardi. Ricevette incarichi prestigiosi, come le decorazioni per il palazzo del Parlamento di Budapest, il padiglione dei souvenir all'Esposizione di Roma del 1910 e alcune stanze del Palazzo Reale di Venezia. Ci sono anche dieci pannelli neo-XVIII secolo che decorano il Caffè Quadri, sempre a Venezia.
Periodo: XIX secolo. Epoca: Ottocento.
