This work is signed: K PALMER on lower right corner, recto of the canvas; canvas size 40"; x 36” x 1.5" profile. Kevin Palmer’s abstract approach to painting is influenced by his travels and the natural world. Often combining linear and organic forms, enhanced by the subtleties of light and shade, he layers rich textures, inspired by elements such as tree barks, especially birch. The results possess a surprising three dimensionality. His vibrant paintings are characterized by sensuous use of color and pallet work. "There is so much beauty everywhere…I want to paint it all!" Kevin is a Canadian artist living in Montreal, Canada.
