A wonderful watercolor painting by A. Matthews of a landscape with cattle watering. This 19th-century painting is framed in a period Late Victorian gold-leaf frame. The painting is aesthetically pleasing and well-executed. The colors are distinctive with darks and lights and overall attractive. Great look for a country house or English or American period homes. The painting is in good condition with age-appropriate wear. Some light wear to the gold gilt on the frame, as shown in the images, but not distracting. The painting is signed "A. Matthews".
