About the Item
In this listing you will find an extra large oil painting depicting an abstract head of a figure, in dark tones. The painting is done by an unknown artist, with a heavy influence of of the work of Vladimir Velickovic and Francis Bacon, featuring some of their prominent motifs. Painting was featured in a horror movie "The Serbian Film", shot in 2010. Painting has been examined by an expert in Yugoslav and Serbian art in Belgrade who believes the painting has been painted in Velickovic's studio in Paris by his students. Vladimir Velickovic and Francis Bacon were friends in Paris, along side Lucian Freud, who spent a lot of time together, hence the influences of each of the artist could be found in works of the others.

Painting is in a good condition and it is framed. It shows signs of past repairs on the back.
