Original Photograph from the Edgar Brandt Original Catalog, 1920s

About the Item

We present here an original photograph from an Edgar Brandt's catalog, 1920s. Taken by F. Harand, photographer at 9 rue Duphot, Paris. Measures: Height 10.8" (27.5cm), width 8.7" (22cm). The subject is a little off-center, but this will be corrected by your framer. The photo dates from the 1920s and shows some rare wear and very light transfers. The opposite would be surprising. The condition is really amazing for picture from a catalog that has been used. This photo is taken from a catalog of 69 photos representing a broad view of the entire production of Edgar Brandt's company such as lamps topped with alabaster or, marmorean or acid-etched lampshades from the Maison Daum, floor lamps, chandeliers, mirrors, consoles, photo frames, andirons, firewalls, radiator covers, screens, inkwells, paper knives, bowls, vases, etc. You can find some of them in the book by Joan Kahr. The album is nearly unobtainable. We can describe it as a rarity. This catalog was not distributed and was reserved for exhibitions or the commercial department of the company. Photos of this catalog are stamped on the back with: - The Edgar Brandt's company stamp - The Edgar Brandt's "Modèle en toute propriété" stamp - The F. Harand's stamp (the famous photographer at 9 rue Duphot, Paris).
