1951 Vincent Van Gogh - Musee de Lyon Original Vintage Poster

Beautiful poster advertising an exhibition of the legendary Dutch expressionist painter Vincent Van Gogh. Held at the Musee De Lyon in France between February and March 1951, this vibrant piece depicts a simplified line sketch of his 1886 painting "Shoes".
This extremely rare and uniquely designed piece is a wonderful mid-century find, it is in near mint condition with some light signs of ageing and looks brilliant framed.

Vincent van Gogh
Vincent van Gogh, born on March 30, 1853, in the Netherlands, was a Dutch post-impressionist painter. He is known for his emotionally charged and vibrant paintings, such as "Starry Night" and "Sunflowers." Van Gogh struggled with mental health issues throughout his life and tragically died by suicide on July 29, 1890, at the age of 37. Despite his short and troubled life, his art has had a lasting and influential impact on the world of art.
